"July
summers in the Colorado Rockies continually refresh and rejuvenate my
spirit. Like these ancient, water carved boulders cleanse and purify
the rushing, turbulent waters I, too, feel my spirits cleansed of
worldly concerns. As I sat on these boulders,
mesmerized by the interplay of light and current I also watched the
entertaining bobbing and fishing of a family of Water Dippers along
the shallow edges.
As I painted "Colorado
Lace", I mentally and emotionally relived these sensual
emotions with each stroke of the brush.
People often ask me how long it takes to create such a painting. A
lifetime of experiences, education, trial and error - like most
pursuits. Then there is the photographic time, composition planning,
canvas preparations, framing process, marketing photography time, and
statistical records to prepare - all labors of love in my on-going
love affair with God's amazing creations."
