captured this magnificent bull elk on camera in the fall just outside of
Jackson, Wyoming in Teton National Park while attending an artist's
workshop with Tucker Smith.. Using numerous books from the library,
as well as reference material from a number of magazines, I was able to
add the necessary detail lost by my camera. Using my own photo
references, I choose to display him in the steamy dawn waters fn the
Firehole River. Bulls are known to use rivers to protect their
harems from competing bulls during the rut." Kay
